Washington-based Earth Merchant received $100,000 for a proof-of-concept initiative to develop OlogyBricks, bricks made of hempcrete. The Vancouver, Washington company received one of 24 grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Small Business Innovation Research program. Those companies that complete the first phase of the program could also be eligible for further awards of up to $400,000 to commercialize their ideas.
