Sergio Vazquez Barrios heads Uruguay’s industrial hemp program in the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP). He is head of the Technical Advisory Department for non-psychoactive cannabis production projects, and Management Advisor at the General Directorate of Agricultural Services (DGSA) in the MGAP. An expert in cereals and oilseeds. Vazquez Barrios holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of the Republic of Uruguay, an MBA from University ORT, Uruguay, and a degree in design and evaluation of public policies from the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).

Daniel, who has been in the hemp industry since 1995, is a senior advisor to entrepreneurs, startups, investors and other industry stakeholders through HempConsult GmbH, an independent consulting firm. Hempro Int. GmbH is a vertically integrated Dusseldorf-based producer and wholesaler of hemp foods, bulk raw materials for food, textiles, accessories and cosmetics.

Diego is founder at Hemptech, an adviser on ecological crop management, project design, extraction and production. He is an agronomic engineer who graduated from the National University of Cordoba. Diegostudies and promotes both medical cannabis and industrial hemp in Argentina.
Raúl Elizalde
HempMeds Latin America, Mexico
Raúl is an activist who encourages a clear distinction between hemp and marijuana products in Mexican legislation. The company he heads, Hempmeds, was the first importer of hemp-derived cannabidiol products to Mexico. Raúl is the founder of Por Grace, a civic association that was the first organization to promote the therapeutic use of cannabinoids in Mexico. A lawyer from the University of Monterrey, he participated in the 39th meeting of the WHO expert committee on drug addiction.

As a founding member of Gmiracle SAS, Leandro participated in the debates of the Colombian congress, as well as the working tables at the Colombian Ministry of Health during the regulation process for the use of cannabis for medical and scientific purposes. As CEO of the company, he was responsible for filing and obtaining the licenses from the various government Ministries (Seed Licenses, Non-Psychoactive Cannabis Licenses, Psychoactive Cannabis License, Transformation Licenses). Gmiracle is now in the process of obtaining permission from the government to export cannabis derivatives for medical and scientific uses.
Barbara Galletti

Barbara is co-founder and CEO of Pronatura Ltd., and co-creator of Nutranabis, the first Chilean brand exclusively dedicated to re-introduce and commercialize organic hemp products in the country. Her work has been crucial in opening the hemp market in Chile, especially in regularizing the process to import and sell nutritional hemp products. Her company and brand are now seeking to expand its business in Chile and Latin America.

Luke is the CEO of Clone Connect, a top 3 search destination for CBD hemp cultivation and manufacturing at wholesale. Clone Connect has interviewed more than 70 elite cultivators and sold to many publicly traded companies. The company has acquired 200 million seeds with licensing to sell into 26 countries for 2020. Luke is also CEO and creative director for DRIHP Hemp Clothing and Hemp to Save the World, and owner of Hydrocanna CBD infused hydration.
Lorenzo Rolim da Silva
Agronomist Engineer, Brazil
Lorenzo consults international companies in the development of medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp projects, and is affiliated with Rhizo Sciences, Australia. He started his career in cannabis in California in 2015, later returning to Brazil to work in the first medicinal cannabis company based in the country in partnership with Bedrocan, and later founded Bedrocan Brasil. Leandro has worked on projects in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Canada, United States of America, Portugal, Malta, Uruguay, Colombia and Chile.

Based in Uruguay, Kevin is a pioneer in the sustainable medical cannabis industry and a co-founder of YVY, a medical cannabis company based on sustainable and scalable agricultural practices, and with a mission to ensure patients around the world have access to natural and science backed medicine. Kevin has created and managed a number of successful projects and has a vast and diverse professional network across the globe, having worked with tech startups, governments and NGOs. He has lived in South Africa, Australia, Israel and California.

Manuel is a Public Affairs consultant with 15+ years’ operational experience in over 25 emerging countries, mainly across Latin America and Africa. Most recently, he has helped Lignum Resources, a Madrid-based renewable energy project development firm, consolidate its South American practice by establishing a regional hub in Bogotá, Colombia. Manuel is looking to transition a large scale sustainable forestry operation in Colombia´s eastern plainlands into hemp.
Dean Harris

Dean is CEO and Co-Founder of TabBrands, a U.S.-based health and wellness company working in medical cannabis and hemp-derived CBD. Dean has executed five successful exits as CMO of HotJobs, Vonage and Kayak (all IPO) plus BlueCava and Forensiq (both acquired). He is a past Marketer of the Year (BrandWeek/USA) and an EFFIE award winner for advertising effectiveness. Dean ran a full-service advertising agency in New York that serviced clients such as Coca-Cola, Citibank, Sotheby’s, and Johnson & Johnson. He holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business plus a Masters of International Affairs in South Asian Studies from Columbia University; and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College. Dean was also an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Fairfield University and the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, USA.
Jindrich Voboril
Policy & strategy expert, Czech Republic
Jindrich is a leading Czech authority on drug use, with more than 20 years experience leading and developing health programs and social services. He also held the post of Czech National Anti-Drug Coordinator and director of the anti-drug policy department and the secretariat of the Government Council for the Coordination of Anti-Drug Policy (RVKPP). Jindrich has worked on the establishment, development, and evaluation of community services, especially drug abuse prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs since the 1990s. In 2000–2009, he actively participated in preparing community anti-drug strategies and projects financed by the European Commission.

A lawyer by training, Jose is co-founder and CEO at Cruz Verde Incorporated. He has analyzed and written extensively on the U.S. 2018 Farm Bill and that legislation’s impact on Spanish-speaking markets around the world, and was the first to bring legal hemp seeds and related products to Puerto Rico. Jose is also an instructor for certifications and occupational licenses in the Caribbean territory of Puerto Rico as well as for Cannaworks Institute, a company dedicated to education about cannabis and hemp on the island.
Carl Martel

Carl has been researching industrial cannabis since 2010. Formally trained as a geo-archaeologist with degrees in Interdisciplinary Science, he has worked with a number of hemp companies across Canada, the United States and Australia. Co-inventor of a grain disinfection system deployed in Canada and Australia, he continues to explore and develop grain quality post-harvest management technology. Carl’s focus recently has been on value added products from agricultural waste such as carbon foam for insulation, water filtration/desalination and energy storage systems.
Pamela Bosch
Highland Hemp House, USA
Pamela is an educator, artist and hemp activist. She is the founder of Highland Hemp House, a pioneering project in the State of Washington that is using hemp-lime and other natural materials for retrofit to create an ideal, healthy living space. She formerly taught at Bellingham Technical College and Northwest Indian College, also of Bellingham. A member of the Washington State Farm Bureau, Pamela works at both the state and federal levels to clear the path for growing, processing and making products from hemp.
Wolf Jordan
Wolf Jordan & Co, Belgium
Wolf is one of Europe’s leading experts in eco-construction and the production of high quality natural paints, plasters and renders for the building industry. He is the founder and sole owner of Wolf Jordan & Co., which operates out of Greenbizz, a Brussels-based incubator that backs growth of startups and small firms focused on sustainability. Wolf’s company produces binder formulas for hempcrete construction, and natural oils and waxes for wood and stone. An old-world craftsman with more than 36 years’ experience in natural materials, Wolf is also a lecturer, educator and innovator who has worked on building projects all over the world.
Heinrich Wieker
Henry’s HempHarvester, Germany
Henry is looking to help ease the harvesting and processing stages for small and medium-sized farms and has been doing intense research and development for the past three years. He is an electrical engineer and owner of Henry’s HempHarvester (HHH), a startup which is developing the machine. He’ll eventually target sales at small hemp agricultural enterprises up to 200 ha that grow hemp for CBD extraction, food and other niche products – and who struggle with laborious hand-harvesting methods, limiting efficiency.
Hana Gabrielova
Hempoint, Czech Republic
Hana is one of Europe’s pioneering and most innovative hemp entrepreneurs and activists. She is a widely recognized expert and consultant on everything from hemp farming to patient focused certification (PFC) for medical cannabis, through her affiliation with the Prague-based International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute. Hana’s company advises farmers on hemp cultivation, and is an organic hemp food producer.
