A French wine brand has debuted a CBD-infused product based on a high-quality “petit verdot” varietal from the Bordeaux wine-growing region. The CBD adds a relaxing effect to the classic effect of the alcohol, said Raphael De Pablo, the developer of the brand, called Burdi W. DePablo said the wine includes blackcurrant to counteract the strong CBD taste. A Burdi W crowdfunding effort attracted more than 1,000 backers, and De Pablo said he has already sold 8,000 bottles at €34 ($41) each, with most buyers from France.
