Five American CBD makers have been warned by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for making illegal medical claims in the agency’s most recent crackdown. FDA informed the companies that their claims violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). The FDA sent the warnings to Bee Delightful of Austin, Texas; G&L Wellness of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; New Leaf Pharmaceuticals of Newton, Connecticut; NextL3vel Services Group of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Wellness Biosciences Rx of Houston, Texas. FDA continues to work on clear rules for CBD but occasionally reprimands companies who violate the FD&C Act.
