A group of Tennessee stakeholders have formed the Hemp Alliance of Tennessee (HAT) and launched a membership drive. The group, whose board is made up primarily of CBD companies and hemp growers focused on flowers, said it will support hemp education and advocate for policies and standards in the state. HAT’s president is Frederick Cawthon, a seasoned product and program management executive and co-founder and CEO of Verge Agritech. The Alliance offers memberships at different levels, with fees ranging from $50 to $500.
