Entrepreneur and cannabis activist Wenzel Cerveny continues to press his case for CBD in Germany, recently sending samples and an information pack to 205 members of the Bavarian State Parliament even as he faces drug charges in court. Cerveny sent sample packs including 20 grams of hemp tea and a bottle of CBD oil, along with a note: “Hemp usually calms the nerves, but we can’t wait and drink hemp tea: With this package we would like to draw your attention to the problems of the hemp industry in Bavaria.” Two Parliamentarians returned the packages. Cerveny said he also received the threat of a drug complaint. He already faces 36 narcotics trafficking charges in a case filed by the Munich public prosecutor last autumn.
