Germany’s Sanity Group said it raised €4 million from a group of celebrities in a recent financing round. The Berlin-based CBD maker said the funds came from U.S. music producer and songwriter Will.i.am, Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano, German TV presenter Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, ex-soccer player Dennis Aogo, sports expert Jonas Hummels, German top model Stefanie Giesinger. Venture capital firm Bitburger Ventures was also identified as an investor. Sanity group was started in 2018 by Finn Hänsel and Fabian Friede with support from strategists at German marketing expert Heimat. The company said the funds will be used to expanding its Vayamed pharmaceutical subsidiary and expand its wellness division. Sanity Group said it is launching VAAY, a CBD lifestyle brand in the UK this week. Sanity also has the “This Place in Germany” CBD brand.
