U.S. ‘Declaration’ not written on hemp

Declaration of Independence was written on parchment, not hemp paper.

Officials at Monticello, the museum at the home of Thomas Jefferson, the main author of the American Declaration of Independence, say the document was penned on parchment, which is made from animal skin, rebutting claims by many pro-hemp organizations that promote the fact that the document is on hemp paper from Holland.
