U.S. e-commerce platform in deal to purchase Euro-based catalog

U.S.-based hemp e-commerce platform HempDig.com has signed a letter of intent to purchase online catalog HempTradePro.com.

HempDig, based in Johnson City, Tennessee, is an e-commerce platform for hemp buyers and sellers of all sizes – from those trading in wholesale and bulk goods at B2B to mom-and-pop producers selling directly to consumers.

Robust platform

HempDig said current market conditions mean some hemp products must still cross borders and in some cases, oceans. The robust HempDig platform can facilitate that trade but also support the development of more tightly-knit supply networks through a localization feature that is part of the service.

HempTradePro, launched in 2017 as a sister platform to Poland-based HempToday.net, was one of the first hemp platforms established for buyers and sellers to connect. HempDig launched in 2019.

Free listings

HempToday is serving as a media partner on the merged HempDig service under terms of the agreement.

In addition to B2B buyers, B2C re-sellers who qualify under HempDig vendor guidelines can build stores on the site and post a limited number of products for free. Additional listings and a range of paid premium services to support product offers are available through both HempDig and HempToday.
