Hemp is being explored for its economic development and remediation potential in Italy’s central region of Lazio. Marco Delle Cese, president of the Consortium for the Industrial Development of Southern Lazio (Cosilam), is developing a project to create an industrial hemp plantation to reclaim land near the town of Roccasecca in the province of Frosinone which has suffered years of industrial pollution. Cosilam is a public-private enterprise that works on development initiatives in southern Lazio.
