ICCI sets training session in Barcelona

The International Cannabis and Cannabinoid Institute (ICCI) will host its second European seminar on Patient Focused Certification (PFC) in Barcelona May 9-11.

The PFC standard aims to ensure quality in the cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and laboratory supply chains with a goal to ensure patients, doctors and governments that medical cannabis is in compliance with best practices.

Participants will gain insight into certification, the cannabis monograph and endocannabinoid system, requirements under PFC audits, and legal compliance, ICCI said. Those who complete the seminar, to be held in English, will receive PFC certificates if they pass an exam. The first seminar organized by the group was held last year in the Czech Republic.

ICCI, based in Prague, was started by American entrepreneur and environmentalist Benjamin Bronfman, who serves as Director of International Business Development.
