French personal care giant L’Oreal has launched Garnier Organic Hemp, an “anti-stress” skincare line that includes a day cream and an oil for night time, with marketing focused on the high level of vitamin E in hemp seed oil. The new products are in packaging made from cardboard, which the company said brings a 49% reduction in plastic compared to earlier packaging. Garnier has said it will implement a “Product Environmental & Social Impact Labelling” scheme in which it will score its products on the basis of sustainability, ranking them from ‘A’ to ‘E,’ with ‘A’ being considered best in class.
