The Missouri Department of Agriculture will award grants of up to $200,000 for the expansion of processing capacity for industrial hemp fiber.
The reimbursement grants, which require a minimum 25% cash match, can be for equipment and installation costs incurred between the date of award and March 1, 2022.
The funding is part of a total of $700,000 appropriated by the Missouri legislature to help build the state’s industrial hemp fiber processing infrastructure.
All grant recipients must submit a reimbursement request and progress report no later than April 1, 2022, detailing activities and advancements toward project completion. Applicants for the grants must be based in Missouri.
