The European Commission has indicated it will likely vote in November on a proposal to set the maximum level for THC in hemp foods at 7.5 mg/kg – with tolerance allowing up to 10.8 mg/kg. Binding limits for THC in hemp food products are needed to give European producers security in their business planning and to set them on a level playing field with other markets around the world, stakeholders have said.
