Germany’s nova-Institute has released a report on CBD production technologies, medical applications and the EU regulatory framework for cannabinoids. The 142-page report discusses established and emerging biotechnological approaches to the production of cannabinoids, and gives an overview of state-of-the-art production methods for plant extraction and chemical synthesis. Aimed at pharmaceutical and biotech industry professionals, the report was written by nova-Institute authors Dr. Pia Skoczinski; Dr. med. Franjo Grotenhermen; and Dr. rer. nat. Bernhard Beitzke, a chemist who is a long-time adviser to the European Industrial Hemp Association.
