The U.S. House of Representatives voted to decriminalize cannabis last Friday with passage of the MORE Act on a 228-164 vote. The proposed law, which would cancel non-violent federal marijuana convictions, stands little chance of passage in the U.S. Senate unless the Democratic party is able to secure a majority in the Senate by winning two special Senatorial elections in Georgia set for January 2021. The most recent Gallup Poll on cannabis sentiment showed 68% of Americans support legalization.
