The National Industrial Hemp Council is now the National Industrial Hemp Council of America, after the U.S. lobbying group rebranded, redesigning its logo and website, and releasing a promotional film about hemp.

The Council comprises a group of international, federal, state, private industry, and government professionals led by Patrick Atagi, President and CEO, who is a specialty crop grower in Oregon. The organization is dedicated to furthering market development, assisting new industry entrants, and educating consumers on industrial hemp and its applications.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program late last year awarded the Council a $200,000 grant to promote U.S. hemp abroad through research and marketing of products and brands.

The Council’s branding overhaul was by gt&i, a London marketing agency.
