The U.S. state of Montana has launched a portal to connect hemp farmers with buyers looking for seeds, fiber and biomass. The platform, established by the state’s Department of Agriculture, is based on a similar marketplace previously set up for trading in hay. Listings on the site are in four categories, and indicate whether the crops were grown conventionally or by organic methods. Sellers can also indicate if they have laboratory test results.
