The government of Armenia said it will spend about $2 million to expand cultivation of hemp and other value-added specialty crops. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said the move aims to significantly boost land use in agriculture. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said hemp will be grown exclusively for industrial use.
