A fresh supply of “Building with Hemp,” the Steve Allin book about hempcrete construction, is now available, the long-time builder announced this week. The book, in its second edition, was originally published in 2005, and has sold more than 3,000 copies worldwide.

It is aimed at architects, builders, activists, students and teachers around the world.

Allin is an author, teacher and consultant on ecological building, having pioneered the use of hemp in construction in Ireland and internationally since 1997. He has also contributed articles to a variety of publications from the Green Building Bible to Cannabis Culture magazine. The founding director of the International Hemp Building Association (IHBA), he continues to teach and lecture worldwide on the subject of hemp building.

He is currently involved in humanitarian projects in hard-hit Haiti following Hurricane Matthew earlier this month, which came six years after a devastating earthquake in the island nation from which it has yet to recover; he is also working with Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures in quake-stricken Nepal on a project to build homes there.

Orders for individual copies and bulk orders may be placed by emailing SeedPress, the book’s publisher.
