A California hemp company is being investigated after workers complained they have not been paid for two months. Castillo Seed Company, Half Moon Bay, California, was shut down by state and local officials pending a review of its records and the workers’ complaints. Some employees said the company informed them business had declined badly during the pandemic and told them their pay would be delayed at the end of last year. Some employees said they have worked as much as eight weeks with no pay.
