Canadian hemp concept company La Feuille Verte said it will open five new locations of Maison d’Herbes, retail café-boutique outlets that specialize in products that showcase hemp: food, health drinks, clothing, body care and pet products. Dany Lefebvre, President and CEO of La Feuille Verte, said the locations are near the branches of the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) in Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Lévis, Drummondville and Coaticook. The Trois-Rivières location is to open in the first quarter of 2021. La Feuille Verte, based in Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover, Quebec, specializes in the cultivation, processing and marketing of local hemp. La Feuille Verte joined forces with Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 2019 on projects in which undergraduate students in biochemistry and biotechnology conduct research on the hemp plant.
