A group forming a new Hemp Industries Association (HIA) chapter in Colorado will host stakeholders Jan. 21 in Denver, according to a release from organizers of the state group, based in Wheat Ridge.
Colorado is the 15th state to organize under the Washington, D.C-based HIA. Other chapters are in: Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and West Virginia.
The 2 p.m. HIA organizational meeting will be followed by the first in a series of mini-seminars about hemp research by the Industrial Hemp Research Foundation and the Institute of Cannabis Research at the Colorado State University – Pueblo.
