INTERVIEW: Patrick Brown, Founder of Hempfinity and leader with Nature For Justice, reflects on his journey from a third-generation North Carolina tobacco farming family to the front lines of the U.S. hemp revival. Speaking at the NIHC Global Industrial Hemp Fiber Summit at North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles, Brown describes how he helped guide his family’s land and legacy into industrial hemp. He discusses the creation of Hempfinity’s vertically integrated model for hemp-derived products, his work with Nature For Justice to promote sustainable farming and climate resilience, and the importance of building equitable opportunities for smallholder and minority farmers.
