Prague-based PharmaCan s.r.o., said it will export 500 grams of full-spectrum distilled cannabis extract made from industrial hemp to Worldpharma Biotech S.L., Valencia, Spain.

The material will be used to carry out pre-clinical research into its effects on nervous system disorders and in the development of pharmaceuticals for topical use, according to Juan José García Miguel, the CEO of Worldpharma Biotech.

The transaction marks PharmaCan’s first export shipment for full-spectrum cannabis extract under the authorization of the Czech Ministry of Health.

“This is a huge milestone for our licensed cannabis extraction facility towards developing standardized, THC-containing full spectrum extracts for new markets and applications,” said Dr. Jan Storch, CEO of PharmaCan, which is a mother company of CBDepot.

Worldpharma Biotech, which is affiliated with University of Valencia, makes active pharmaceutical ingredients from vegetable sources at a factory that specializes in the extraction, isolation and purification of high-value compounds for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. The company’s facilities are registered under the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS).

Delivery will take place in early July as soon as flight connections to Valencia resume, with agents already having prepared the compliant logistics route, according to Storch.
