Polish hemp firm Herbs & Hydro (H&H) has rolled out a hemp bar shampoo in five variations that’s briskly being taken up at wholesale, and by consumers via the company’s online shop.
“It’s taken off faster than any of the other products in our portfolio,” said Tomasz Gorski, Founder at the Katowice, Poland-based company, which makes a line of top-shelf personal care products based on hemp and other plants.
Compact design
H&H’s formula for the unique shampoo bar results in a mild wash designed for all skin sensitivities and hair types, the company said. While compact in design – perfect for a travel kit – one bar provides about 50 shampoos.
Along with a plain hemp formula, variations, all of which are hemp based, are made with: may chang (an Asian evergreen), mango, coconut, raspberry and Palo Santo, a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America.
Produced under a “no-waste” process, the products are vegetarian and vegan friendly — not tested on animals, so meeting all European standards for cosmetics.
Men’s care line
The hemp with Palo Santo bar shampoo is being marketed as part of a line of men’s care products that was started last year with H&H’s launch of Jim’s Beard Oil.
Hemp-based bar soaps made by H&H, the first of their kind made in Poland, continue to be a best-selling product domestically for the company, which started wholesaling internationally last year.
