UK-based Pureis Ultra Pure CBD said it is now under full assessment for a novel food license after its application was validated by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the UK’s Food Standards Agency (FSA). The company said validation from FSA means Pureis can remain on sale in the UK, where it is offered online and in retail chains Boots and Holland & Barrett. The FSA has given UK CBD companies until March 31, 2021 to have validated Novel Food License applications submitted. Those without a validated application will be removed from the UK market.
