A conference to explore the potential of industrial hemp and cannabis to boost employment in the EU is set next Tuesday, Feb. 23 in Brussels.
The one-day conference, “Hemp and medical cannabis as a driving factor of growth and employment,” will look at medical marijuana as well as industrial hemp’s potential in medicine and for other uses.
Greek European Parliament Member Stelios Kouloglou will moderate the two panel discussions that make up the conference. The event is organized by GUE/NGL, a Parliamentary group comprising the European United Left and the Nordic Green Left. GUE/NGL has 52 members from 19 different political delegations and 14 EU member states.
