Polish health and beauty products maker Herbs & Hydro (H&H) has introduced a new intimate hygiene cleansing bar and a shampoo for kids sub-branded Pure Care. Both new products include hemp “butter” based on hempseed oil.

The new products debut as H&H rolls out new packaging for its full personal care line, anchored by hemp bar shampoos and conditioners released over the past two years.

H&H’s all-natural products are produced under a “no-waste” process, and are vegetarian and vegan friendly, meeting all European standards for cosmetics. The hair care products can be purchased individually or in sets. In addition to plain hemp shampoo bars, variations include hemp & mango, hemp & coconut, and hemp & raspberry.

The new Pure Care products, which also contain almond butter, cacao butter, squalane, pantheon and vitamin E, were tested on human subjects for seven months, said Julia Bocianowska, the company’s founder.

Conceived to complement the natural raw materials in the company’s products, the re-usable and biogradable materials in the new packaging leave behind no toxins and no waste when both the product and the packaging end their life cycles, Bocianowska said.

The new packaging was created in-house, with designs by Andrzej Skomorowski based on artwork from Polish illustrator Aleksandra Morawiak. Cans for the individual bars, and the tube-shaped cartons are designed to be handy for travel, and for household use when the product is finished.

On the market in the USA, Ireland, England, Poland, Spain, Norway, France, Iceland and Germany, H&H products will soon debut in Portugal, the company said.

H&H, based in Katowice, Poland, had a hit with its unique, disc-shaped bar shampoo two years ago, and added the heart-shaped conditioner last year. The bar shampoos are good for about 50 wash-and-rinses, providing a mild cleansing designed for all skin sensitivities and hair types, the company said.
