Government officials and investors are exploring the setup of a hemp processing facility in the Russia’s Penza region in the southeastern part of the country, with preliminary plans to complete the factory during 2017-2018. Regional economic development officials and investors met recently to discuss the project and to review potential sites for the facility. Plans call for the production of fiber, cellulose and oil.
