Santa Fe Farms named Hunter Buffington Vice President of its Products Division and Director of Policy and Advocacy. Buffington will be responsible for commoditizing hemp by-products and creating an overall value chain in the agricultural, carbon and manufacturing segments for Santa Fe. She will also work on policy connecting the supply chain with rural economic development grants in Native American and other rural communities to create circular economies with hemp, according to a press release from Santa Fe. Buffington also currently serves as policy consultant for the Hemp Feed Coalition, a non-profit that is advocating for federal approval of hemp by-products as commercial animal feed.
