Swiss researchers have planted 1,000 cannabis varieties in a study on high-THC plants when farmed organically. The growing of cannabis plants over 1.0% is prohibited in Switzerland but Pure Gene, a division of cannabis company Pure Holding, received special permission from the government to plant the test crop. The researchers are trying to find which varieties grow best under organic conditions, and looking into plant DNA.
