Binghamton University and State University of New York Sullivan have been approved to participate in New York state’s industrial hemp pilot program. Under New York’s hemp regime, universities can partner with farmers and processors to study hemp as an agricultural commodity. The two schools join Cornell University and Morrisville State, which started in the state-managed program last year.
