USDA approves South Dakota hemp plan

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved the state of South Dakota’s hemp plan. State officials say they will now hold public hearings to review the plan’s details. South Dakota passed a hemp law in March of this year. State officials say they expect hemp growing to begin in 2021.
