Colorado State University at Pueblo will offer a hemp agriculture degree program beginning fall 2021 with funding support from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The Industrial Hemp Education, Agriculture and Research program will require students to take research courses and either do an internship at one of the school’s hemp industry partners or conduct research at the CSU Institute of Cannabis Research. USDA provided a $275,000 grant from its National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Similar degrees are offered in the USA by Cornell University (New York), Murray State University (Kentucky), Santa Rosa Junior College (California) and Dakota College at Bottineau. CSU-Pueblo already offers programs in cannabis biology and chemistry and cannabis studies.
