Hemp industry leaders from the USA and Europe will address the Hemp2020 Investment Summit this autumn, HempToday, the event’s host, has announced. The summit, in its second year, is set for Oct 20-21, 2017 at HempToday Center in Poland.

Only 12 accreditations remain available for the two-day event, which is limited to a total of 30 participants. This year’s edition will put a particular emphasis on expanding cooperation and business deals among firms from North America and Europe, organizers said.

Moving things forward

U.S. speakers and participants will address the needs of American farmers and producers, and talk with European industry representatives about closer cooperation as the nascent North American hemp market expands, said Kehrt Reyher, editor and publisher at HempToday, a co-organizer with Czech-based Hempoint, a consultancy and hemp food producer.

“We’ve already had a lot of discussions with our colleagues in the States,” said Hana Gabrielova, CEO at Hempoint. “So we’ve gained a lot of insight, and see great possibilities to push initiatives and business deals to the benefit of companies on both continents.”

The format for Hemp2020 offers concise presentations followed by lively and sometimes lengthy exchanges among participants, with an emphasis on matchmaking among speakers and participants.

“We facilitated relationships and business deals among several of the companies and organizations who came last year,” Reyher said of the inaugural Summit in 2016, which drew participants from 11 countries on four continents.

Markets, CBD, machines

Other subjects to be explored include hemp and the stock markets, the CBD sector, organic hemp and hemp as a superfood, hemp construction, specialized hemp farming and processing machines and technology, media relations, the general outlook across all hemp sectors, and latest research.

Speakers for the 2017 edition of Hemp2020 include: Boaz Wachtel, Creso Pharma (Australia); Morris Beegle, CoHempCo and NoCo Hemp Expo (Colorado/USA); Preston Whitfield, Source Hemp (North Carolina/USA) and CBDRx/Functional Remedies (Colorado); Rick Trojan, Hemp Road Trip (USA); Piotr Jastrębski, Podlaskie Konopie (Poland); Wolf Jordan, Wolf Jordan & Associates (Belgium); Michel Terestchenko, Mayor, Hlukhiv, Ukraine; and Rafael Dulon, Hanf Farm/Germany.
