India’s Bombay Hemp Company (Boheco) has launched its first retail outlet, offering a range of hemp-derived nutritional, wellness and prescription-only products.

The offline store in Bangalore’s Indiranagar neighborhood, a trendy dining and nightlife hub, is offering foods including hemp hearts, whole hemp seeds and hemp seed oil; and personal care products such as body oils, shampoos and soap.

Prescriptions too

The shop is also also fulfilling prescriptions for products made of cannabis or Vijaya leaf extract. Boheco makes CannaReleaf, a range of edible oils for stress and pain management. The company said it has relationships with licensed Ayurvedic practitioners who are available by appointment at the retail outlet to assist patients with their prescription orders.

Incorporated in 2013, Mumbai-based Boheco works with two farmer producer organizations in northern India, where it has established a fully functional supply chain and contributes to the livelihood of more than 500 Himalayan farmers.
