Hemp leaders will address CBD summit set for late August

Cannabis veteran Steph Sherer of the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute (ICCI) and other leading experts will address The Future of Medical Hemp Summit hosted by HempToday Aug. 23-24, 2019.

Global CBD stakeholders are invited to talk over issues affecting the sector during the event at HempToday Center in south-central Poland. The Summit is limited to 25 participants; 17 accreditations remain available. A few speaker positions also are still open for the Summit, organizers said.

Sherer is Director of Innovations at Prague-based ICCI which is dedicated to the standardization of industrial hemp production for CBD and other compounds that address human health. She is also founder and executive director of Americans for Safe Access (ASA), the USA’s leading medical cannabis patient advocacy organization, and a founding member of International Medical Cannabis Patients Coalition (IMCPC).


Global status of CBD

The Summit will look at the current status of the CBD sector and the many opportunities that exist in medical hemp and health products. The basics of cannabinoid extraction, interesting sub-sectors, products and supporting industries will be explored along with the sector’s wide range of specialized services – research and product development; marketing and communications, and technology and machinery.

The Future of Medical Hemp, in its second year, is jointly organized by HempToday, Czech-based Hempoint and the European Industrial Hemp Association. The main sponsor for the event is leading European CBD brand CannabiGold, whose Sales Director, Jacek Kramarz is among the experts who also will address the Summit.

Other speakers already scheduled to appear at the gathering are Scott Reese, CEO at Colorado, USA-based, C-Beyond-Health; Boris Banas, CSO at CBDepot, Czech Republic; Muhammed Qayyum, Medics Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Pakistan; Joscha Krauss, CEO, MH medical hemp GmbH, Germany; Hana Gabrielova, CEO, Hempoint, Czech Republic; and Lorenza Romanese, Managing Director of the European Industrial Hemp Association.

Early signups for the event are €999 until June 15, 2019. The all-inclusive fee includes the following:
